Q : How does this work?

A : We are a conceptual customization house offering services to clients on their own items. Once we receive your order we will contact you in whichever way is easiest for you (txt, email, phone) within 24hrs to go over the selections you made and finalize your order. We'll send you an email confirming your choices with a link to submit your payment. You ship your bag to our studio, we get to work and send it back to you asap! 

 

Q : Do you do Removals?

A : Yes! We do removals on a case by case basis.

 

Q : Do you only paint on luxury items? What surfaces can you paint on?

A : No! We paint on a wide variety of objects—luxury is in the eye of the beholder. We paint on leather, coated canvas (like a Louis Vuitton, Gucci or Goyard bag), plastic, denim, shoes, sneakers, fabric, glass--you name it, we can customize it! We even have airbrushing services available. 

 

Q : Do you do Rimowa customization?

A : Yes! Color choice is limited, please email us some information about your suitcase and we will get started.

 

Q : I live in Los Angeles--can I send a messenger or drop off/pick up? 

A : Of course. Just mention it to us when we speak.

 

Q : I need a rush job—fast—is this available?

A : Yes, rush jobs are available for an additional fee on a case by case basis—please contact us asap!

 

Q : Why should I have my item painted at The Immaterial and not just hot stamped in-store or painted at a boutique?

A : We offer custom monogramming services to a diverse range of clients, offering more in-depth personalization than the cookie-cutter customization which has only been available previously in this market. Why limit yourself and your options? Hot stamping also wears off quickly and in my humble opinion, simply looks cheap.
